About Us
We Don't Just Install Insulation. We Build Better Homes.
Smith Brothers Insulation is a Burnet-based insulation contractor serving homeowners, builders, and property owners across Burnet County and the surrounding Hill Country. We handle spray foam, fiberglass and wool batts, insulation removal, and air sealing — on everything from barndominiums and new builds to attic retrofits and ag buildings.
We work from Building Science, not guesswork.
Most insulation gets installed the same way it has been for decades. The product goes in, the wall gets closed up, and nobody thinks too hard about whether the system as a whole is actually performing.
Building science looks at the whole picture. How heat moves through a structure. Where moisture accumulates and why. How ventilation, air sealing, and insulation work together, or against each other, when they're not planned as a system. Getting those interactions right is the difference between a home that performs well for decades and one that has persistent comfort and energy problems that are hard to diagnose.
Smith Brothers Insulation was built around that way of thinking from the start. Every project gets evaluated as a system, not just a line item on a construction checklist.
Quality Materials, Proper Technique
Insulation is only as good as the installation. The right product applied incorrectly, or with gaps and voids left in place, doesn't deliver the performance it's rated for. Smith Brothers Insulation uses quality materials sourced from reputable suppliers and applies them with the kind of attention to detail that building science demands. That means checking the work, not just finishing it. Coverage depth, adhesion on spray foam applications, vapor management, air sealing at penetrations. The details that don't show up once the walls are closed but show up every month on your energy bill if they're missed.
